A "free" Trial of tooth whitening gel wiped the smile off Marie Grant's face - as it cost her £90.
Marie, 44, expected to pay internet supplier Dazzle White just £3 postage but they helped themselves to extra cash, claiming she had taken a subscription. She called me in to warn others as she has still not received a refund from the US firm.
Marie, of Airdrie, said: "I used the gel pen and was not impressed but thought no more about it until I received a delivery of a further three whitening pens the same day as my credit card statement."
She had been charged £46 for the "free" trial, £37 for the other three pens and two other payments of £2 and £4.48 were also taken.
Marie said: "I phoned to complain but Dazzle White said I should have cancelled within 14 days."
She added: "There are scores of people on internet forums reporting the same problem."
I got on to Dazzle White who promised to look into the matter as quickly as possible.
Meanwhile, Marie's credit card firm, Halifax, are also on the case. Watch this space.
